The UK Border Agency offers high net worth individuals the opportunity to apply for a Tier 1 Visa. Eligible investors who make a substantial financial investment in the UK may qualify for British Citizenship after having spent 5 years on a Tier 1 Visa and a further 1 year after obtaining indefinite leave to remain.
At present, eligible Tier 1 investors must hold a minimum of £2 million in a regulated financial institution to be invested in the UK within 3 months of the Visa being granted.
The £2 million investment for Tier 1 Investor Visa UK must be invested in UK government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active and trading UK registered companies.
